For the past 10 years, PHSRF has successfully spearheaded a youth empowerment project that targeted in- and out-of-school vulnerable adolescent girls with HIV, educating in and providing services regarding sexual and reproductive health and non-communicable diseases. Practices such as violent and coercive sex, gender power imbalance and inequalities, and poverty make abstinence, having one sexual partner, or using condoms difficult for most vulnerable girls and women.
